Many of the marijuana enthusiasts use a pipe or a bong for ingesting their weeds. But a significant bulk of weed smoking population has made joints their supplementary or primary method of consumption. The reason why lung cancer is such a problem among the smokers is not because of the burned rolling papers in China or elsewhere but due to the combustion of weed at high temperatures. But rolling papers do affect the smoking experience such as the rate of burning, the taste and the effect on the throat and chest.
- Chemical is a Menace – Chemicals are often added to the traditional rolling papers at the time of the production to make them longer to burn and to make them lighter, finer and stronger. Calcium carbonate and chlorine are often used as bleach to serve this purpose. The thick papers make a faster-burning joint at a harsher rate. To add to that, they are also reported to cause enhanced lungs and throat irritation. Some of these papers especially the coloured ones may contain potassium nitrate that can cause lung cancer and respiratory tract damage.
- Healthy Papers for Smoking - There is just one thing to keep in mind the lesser the amount of paper the better for you. You inhale much less smoke when you use a thinner paper. The right rolling paper may actually enhance the flavour and taste of the paper. The cigarette rolling paper from the premium companies is known for their thinness. They also use minimum chemicals that will help enhance the taste and is not injurious to health. You should also try to use those papers that act as natural adhesives instead of using the chemical.
- Enhanced Smoking Experience – Just like weed users ditch chemicals, smokers should also get rid of chemicals in their rolling paper. That is why pot smokers should research well and then choose their rolling papers for an enhanced smoking experience.
